私の先祖、田口伊三郎は町人文化の花開いた文化文政期(徳川家慶十二代将軍）に店棚を開き、馬の脚洗い桶を店先に置いて、馬の休脚場所として、藁でつくった馬ぐつなども販売、あわせて、せんべいや茶を供したと言われております。
My ancestor, Isaburo Taguchi, opened a shop during the Bunka-Bunsei period, a time when townspeople’s culture flourished (under the reign of Tokugawa Ieyoshi, the 12th shogun). It is said that he placed a foot-washing tub for horses in front of the shop, providing a resting place for them. He also sold straw-made horse shoes and offered rice crackers and tea.
現在は物流会社を経営していますが、伊三郎が生きた時代から200年後の今、日本のすばらしい文化を世界に広めたいと思ってます。
I currently run a logistics company, but 200 years after the time of Isaburo, I aspire to share Japan's wonderful culture with the world.
